It is also advisable to take care of the low hardness water areas. pH is an important factor to consider, it is because if the pH exceeds 7.5 will cause problems for the fish eye. Jardinii Arowana fish is very sensitive to water conditions, especially the content of ammonia and nitrate should be kept to zero. Filtration system must be effective to keep the water clean and about 15-25% water change every week. Another reason to keep the water conditions are prefect for fish prone to fin rot problem. The minimum tank size is recommended for the treatment of 180cm x 60cm x 60cm with a capacity of 680 liters of water. These fish need a space large enough pool decoration tank is not an important thing. The top cover of the tank needs to be given the reputation of the fish which is considered a reliable jumper.Arowana jardinii has a worse temper than silver arowana and very easily startled (stress).

This fish is also more aggressive so it is not recommended for beginners. Some sources say these fish are territorial so it is not advisable to combine it with other types of arowana in one tank. But that does not mean there is not a suitable tankmate, such as pleco fish, oscar, catfish, silver dollars, red belly pacu, knifefish, datnoid, cichlid fish is an example that can be tankmate. It is important to choose tankmate is the difference in body size of fish that must be balanced. Fish are much more aggressive and highly territorial nature is not recommended for tankmate arowana fish like other kinds and types managuense. The number of fish in a fish also affect the comfort of the fish due to lack of movement area, if the tank is large enough, the number of fish tail 6-10 not considered sufficient to cause fights. However, to further maintain the convenience of fish, if the fish is better cared for in an individual.

Jardinii Arowana is carnivorous fish that require varieties of food with adequate nutrition. What kind of food is very worth noting, foods that contain too much fat will lead to the risk of contracting the disease in the fish. Fed live fish containing the parasite are also at risk. Therefore, food is an important factor that must be considered in maintenance. A better alternative is to provide a variety of foods ranging from earthworms, frozen or dried food such as blood worms, mussels and fish pellets. When the size of the fish under 12 inches, feeding can be done several times a day while the current size of the fish over 12 inches, feeding only once a day. The rest of the food is not eaten must be removed to maintain water quality.

Gender disparities are known through the body shape and wide mouth. Arowana lazy to have more slender bodies and narrow, mouth larger and more striking colors than females. Wide mouth with large cavities used for egg Incubation. Another difference is the size of the male's head is relatively bigger, more aggressive nature, Including in the struggle for food. Few fish farmers have successfully grown. Techniques spawning (breeding) is very difficult when done in the aquarium, and the likelihood of success if done in a pool. Just as species from Asia, Arowana jardinii mouthbrooder species but the difference is the female parent will not keep the fish during the process of incubating chicks. Puppies fish only once at the mouth of the female parent, they will leave in search of food. If danger approaches, the mother will give the signal for them to return.
