We FISHWORLDs - still remember the huge tsunami struck the east coast of Japan on March 11, 2011 last. The disaster occurred after a devastating earthquake with a strength of 8.9 on the Richter Scale. Japanese emergency safety systems, when the tsunami hit, seems to work good warning to its people. However, it seems that early warning systems are still less rapidly with the warning conveyed by the oar fish (oarfish).
The signs of the disaster, seems to have felt a week before the incident by a group of oarfish. Shoal of fish were found washed up on the coast of Japan, a week before the tsunami hit the east coast of Japan.
The incident, written by dailyonigiri.com page. The page write, a week before the big earthquake and tsunami, it was found that many oarfish washed away on the mainland coast of Japan and partially entangled in fishing nets. Previously, the pages of The Telegraph also had an article about oarfish that surfaced before the big quake in Chile and Haiti in 2010 ago.
Interestingly, the oarfish is presumably able to detect the occurrence of large earthquakes. Why is that?
Oarfish usually stay at sea with a depth of 1 km (over 3,000 feet). This very rare type of fish found living in the ocean with a depth of less than 200 meters above sea level. These fish can grow to a length of approximately 17 meters (56 feet).

According to the ancient Japanese custom, this fish swam to the surface and the shore as a sign of the coming earthquake.
In addition, there is also a scientific theory that says animals are more sensitive to the surface of the moving human.
Some scientists believe the fish that live in the deep ocean is very sensitive to the movement of the earth and usually always precede an earthquake. However, most seismologists do not see the connection between the scientific phenomena with earthquakes oarfish.
But, is it possible the fish know what's going on under the surface? In ancient times, when it does not have the sophisticated equipment, Japanese people believe in some fish, especially catfish, as a sign of impending earthquake.
