Clownbotia



Clownbotia (macracanthus Chromobotia, formerly Botia macracanthus) is a tropical fish aquarium that serves as held. It belongs to the family Cobitidae (Cobitidae). They came from Indonesia.
 
A fish is quite peaceful, especially active at dusk, but not hidden as most other Botia species. Because the schools of fish over 25 cm, he at least 8-10 pieces contained in a large tank of at least 2 meters. This species is often throws in the soil, which must consist of fine sand. Plants should be well anchored and further tanks decorated with driftwood and rocks so caves created where the animals draw back. Species that can snap out sound and are very sensitive to white patches.


It is an omnivorous animal with a strong preference for snails. When the slug pests in the aquarium fish is good medicine. Livestock in the aquarium in the usual manner has not been successful. However, there are reports of commercial culture with hormones.
